🤖 Meta Wants To Matter
PLUS: Our Lord & Savior AI Jesus
What's up? You're reading Inclined AI. We were off for Juneteenth yesterday.
Here's what is on tap today:
Meta makes some moves
Folks are sending prayers to AI Jesus
Comedians want to know if ChatGPT is in on the joke
Can ChatGPT help you improve your grades?
IS META MOVING FAST OR THRASHING IN A PANIC?
Meta might be a duck. It sounds weird, but there is logic here.
A duck looks calm on the surface, but underneath, it’s moving its little feet as fast as possible. There’s a sense of urgency boiling under the surface.

Meta unveiled VoiceBox this past weekend, and, sure, that’s cool. But is it a duck meant to make investors feel secure in the long-term future of Meta?
Let’s face it, Mark Zuckerberg f’ed up.
VoiceBox and the slew of new foundational models Meta released were sitting there waiting to get released. Meta’s AI did that groundwork before ChatGPT bubbled to the surface.
The tech is good, and the direction is steady, but we can’t forget that their CEO and heralded leader tried to drag them into a Metaverse play.
According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, the lack of focus on AI hurt Meta. They lost out on researchers and laid off other qualified AI developers.
In other words, Meta may seem busy, but they put themselves on the back foot with their Metaverse push. It costs them time and knowledge that will show its impact before long.
Can Meta keep up this pace in their “year of efficiency” after hobbling their most promising team?
JESUS CHRIST: AI TWITCH STAR
jesus christ as a twitch streamer --ar 2:1 --s 800 --chaos 1
The internet is weird. Twitch uses AI to create television shows, play Minecraft together, and now ask Jesus questions.
Is this post a bit blasphemous? Yeah, probably.
You can hop on Twitch right now and see an AI version of Jesus Christ streaming and answering chat’s questions. It’s something pulled out of a bizarro Bruce Almighty reboot that no one would watch.
But what does it tell us about AI?
Not much; the internet does what it always does in this situation. It aims to be as silly and unhinged as possible.
They’re asking Jesus when he’s getting married and what kind of video games to play. It hasn’t gone off the rail like other projects, cough Tay cough, but it’s only a matter of time.
The spotlight of internet mayhem will catch these creators out. It always does.
The news also follows a German church that tried to get ChatGPT to give a sermon a few weeks back. That experiment went well, but the religious fascinations that tie into AI will continue to grow.
No one wrote a religious book with AI in mind, so interpreting this moment means a lot of uncertainty for people who follow these dogmas.
The worst part is AI Jesus doesn’t have the answer to their questions.
That’s where we are, and anxiety will grow as things progress.

Good Content, First Juneteenth
Juneteenth is an important holiday in the United States. We paused our newsletter yesterday out of respect for the importance the day reflects.
We hope you took that day off and did not miss us too much. This AI image is a Redditor’s idea of how that day might’ve looked at the first June 19th.
That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed the latest edition of inclined.ai - Davis.
