🌿 Mint Mobile employs ChatGPT

Welcome to the future of advertising, where our robot overlords are scriptwriters for top Hollywood actors.

Ryan Reynolds is an expert at viral marketing stunts. The Mint Mobile co-founder and Deadpool star surprised his 21 million followers on a #TwitterTuesday morning with an ad powered by our favorite tool, ChatGPT.

Reynolds is the first A-list celebrity to publicly interact with ChatGPT, which could signal more public collaboration from the entertainment industry. Celebrities are no doubt tired of seeing story after story about how AI will change content forever.

Or maybe they've been hiding the tech from the rest of us? Hollywood has probably been querying ChatGPT with prompts like "The Rock action movie ideas" for years.

⚙️ OpenAI wants to back a chip fab

Chip manufacturing is the foundation of virtually all high-tech industries, including AI, virtual reality, and the cloud. Today, most of the world's high-end chips are produced by TSMC ($400 billion market cap) in Taiwan over a months-long time frame.

That's likely why OpenAI wants to invest in Atomic Semi: the new chip manufacturing startup could help unlock OpenAI's vision of powerful AI for all. Atomic Semi founder Sam Zeloof, a hardware star who documents his inventions on YouTube, is attempting to reimagine semiconductor manufacturing to make “much more affordable” chips in hours.

There's been a strong pull from American companies to bring chip manufacturing back onshore. Apple, AMD, and Nvidia all made commitments in 2022 to buy U.S.-made TSMC chips. More U.S. innovation in the hardware layer that powers AI would be a welcome sight.
